US indices reported gains on Monday after witnessing heavy sell-offs last week, with rising oil prices continue to keep the markets under severe pressure. While Dow Jones added 25 points to 10,799, the Nasdaq gained seven points to close at 2,051.

Indian floats largely exhibited weak trends yesterday. Wipro slipped marginally to close at $21, while Infosys and Satyam ended in the green at $74.70 and $23.43, respectively.

MTNL dropped 2.69% to $7.23, while HDFC Bank and VSNL lost nearly 2% each to $47.29 and $9.75, respectively. ICICI Bank and Dr. Reddy's also ended weak at $20.49 and $17.21, respectively. Tata Motors, however, clocked a per cent gain to $10.66.
