US indices, particularly Nasdaq composite, slipped to its lowest level of the year on Friday, as spiralling oil prices and weak tech stocks weighed on the sentiment. While the Nasdaq dropped eight points to 2,008, the Dow Jones ended with a paltry gain of three points at 10,630.

Indian floats were little changed from their previous close, with select counters reporting steady gains. Infosys, Satyam and Wipro were marginally up at $75.60, $22.90 and $21.10, respectively.

While ICICI Bank moved up 2.7% to $21.68, Tata Motors added nearly 2% to $10.48. Dr. Reddy's, however, lost 1.57% to $16.89. HDFC Bank, VSNL and MTNL, too, ended lower at $43.90, $8.96 and $6.88, respectively.
