US markets staged a smart recovery yesterday as drop in the oil prices lifted the sentiment. While the Dow Jones surged 135 points to 10,541, the Nasdaq moved up 32 points to close at 2,006.

Indian ADRs, too, joined the rally. Satyam shot up 3.57% to $22.63, while Infosys and Wipro ended marginally higher at $73 and $20.12, respectively.

ICICI Bank rose nearly 4% to $19.57, while HDFC Bank, Dr. Reddy's and VSNL closed up a per cent each at $41, $17.23 and $8.10, respectively. MTNL, however, dropped 2% to $6.28, and Tata Motors was down a notch at $9.40.
