A strong manufacturing and retail sales data boosted US markets on Tuesday. Markets rallied to this year's highs on the back of buying in material companies.
The Dow added 56 points to 9,683. The Nasdaq gained 11 points at 2,103.
Indian ADRs were in the green. Patni Computers surged 3.5% to $17.1. Sterlite gained 3.3% at $15.47.
Genpact and ICICI Bank added 2.3% each to $11.95 and $35.56, respectively. Infosys, HDFC Bank and Tata Communications moved up 1.5% each. Dr Reddy's was up 1.3% at $16.93.
However, MTNL slipped 1.3% to $3.7.
