US markets drop; Indian ADRs end in green

US markets continued to drop on worries of budget deficit, with financial and manufacturing shares leading the fall.

The Dow was down 15 points at 8,277. The Nasdaq was flat at 1,691.

Indian ADRs ended in the green on Friday.

Satyam zoomed 12.5% to $2.16. ICICI Bank surged 5% to $29.5.

Patni Computers and Dr Reddy's gained 3% each at $9.32 and $13.43, respectively. HDFC Bank added 2% to $91.81.

Sterlite and Tata Communications moved 1.5% each to $10.95 and $25.12, respectively.

Wipro advanced a per cent to $10.96. Tata Motors, Infosys and Genpact ended flat.
