The US markets ended on a bright note on Friday, breaking a three-day losing streak on the back of buying in the banking stocks. The banking scrips advanced a day after the US Senate reduced uncertainty that the financial regulation bill wont be as burdensome as many had feared.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 1% at 10,193. The Nasdaq Composite Index increased 1% to 2,229.
All the Indian ADRs ended in the green. MTNL soared 4% to $2.42 and Tata Communications advanced 3.5% to $10.47, respectively.
Mahindra Satyam, Patni Computers and ICICI Bank were among the major gainers, up 3% each.
