US markets end positive despite disappointing job data

US stocks added 3% for the week after ending Friday's session slightly higher, shrugging off government data showing the unemployment rate hit 10.2% - the highest in 26-1/2 years.

The Dow Jones industrial average gained 17 points to end at 10,023. The Nasdaq Composite Index added seven points to close at 2,112.

The Indian ADRs ended on a flat note.

MTNL slipped 1% to $36.01. Infosys and Mahindra Satyam dropped 1% each to $47.79 and $5.24, respectively.

On the other hand, HDFC Bank added 1.2% to $120.34. Wipro added 1% at $18.04 and Tata Communications was up marginally at $15.61.
