US stocks registered their best one-day percentage gain in three months on Thursday as investors saw data showing the US economy returned to growth in the third quarter as improving the outlook for profits.
The Dow Jones industrial average gained 200 points (2%) to end at 9,962. The Nasdaq Composite Index shot up 38 points (2%) to close at 2,097.55.
The Indian ADRs ended on a strong note. Mahindra Satyam zoomed 14% to $5.14 and Sterlite soared 5% to $16.35, respectively.
HDFC Bank and Tata Motors advanced 4% each to $117.13 and $12.16, respectively.
Tata Communications on the other hand slipped 5% to $17.25.
