The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 51 points (0.50%) to end at 10,041. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 13 points,(0.59) to close at 2,163.
The Indian ADRs ened on an extremely negative note. MTNL slumped 5% to $3.46 and Mahindra Satyam slipped 4% to $6.19, respectively.
HDFC Bank dropped 3% to $118
Dr Reddys and Tata Communications were down 2.5% each to $19.5 and $20.11, respectively.
Genpact on the other hand soared 4% to $11.73 and Patni Computers added 1.5% to $18.89, respectively.
