US markets have a good session

The US markets gained on stronger-than-expected GDP data in Germany and successful Portuguese bond sale.

Dow ended at 10896, stronger by 148 points or 1.3%, Nasdaq ended at 2425, higher by 49 points or 2% and S&P shut shop at 1171, up 15 points or 1.3%.

The Indian ADRs ended in the green. Dr Reddy's ended at $28, higher by $1.3 or 5.1% and Tata Motors ended at $19, higher by $0.6 or 3.6%. HDFC Bank ended at $151, higher by $3.6 or 2.4% and Patni Computers ended at $26, up $0.5 or 2%.
