US markets slip on China growth worries

US markets slipped on Wednesday as China's sharp drop increased doubts of the possibility of economic recovery. The Dow dropped 26 points to 9,071. The Nasdaq slipped eight points to 1,968.

Indian ADRs were in the red. Sterlite plunged 6% to $12.58. MTNL tumbled 5.5% to $4.29.

Mahindra Satyam and Tata Motors shed 3.5% each to $5.05 and $10.16, respectively. ICICI Bank and Infosys also declined.

However, Patni Computers surged 3.5% to $12.37. Tata Communications added 1% to $20.76.
