US markets tumble; ADRs lose ground

The US markets ended lower on Tuesday as worries over Lehman resurfaced again. The Dow Jones lost 280 points or 2.43 per cent to 11,231, while the Nasdaq lost 60 points or 2.64 per cent to 2,210.

Indian ADRs were in the red. Sterlite lost 16.2%, Rediff.com was down 11.7%. Sify declined 9.38%. Both ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank were down 5.8% and 7.6% respectively.
