US mkts end higher

Reprieve from the rising crude oil prices, coupled with a tech-driven rally saw the Nasdaq end 10 points higher at 2,098 yesterday. The Dow Jones, too, closed in the green but with modest gains at 1,0553 - up four points.

Indian floats, however, displayed mixed trend. While Infosys and Wipro inched marginally lower at $70.84 and $21, respectively, Satyam finished unchanged at $24.95.

Tata Motors dropped 2.79% to $10.09. While VSNL slipped 1.45% to $9.54, ICICI Bank closed at Wednesday's levels at $19.80. HDFC Bank, Dr. Reddy's and MTNL, however, clocked marginal gains at $42.08, $16.45 and $6.54, respectively.
