US mkts end higher, Indian ADRs slump

Led by gains in the technology stocks, the US indices came off-highs and ended with modest gains. While the Dow Jones added 17 points to 10,821, the Nasdaq was up eight points at 2,097.

Indian ADRs, however, ended with steep losses. Wipro slumped 3.81% to $20.70, and Satyam shed 2.66% to $21.57. Infosys was down a per cent at $65.40.

VSNL declined nearly 3% to $10.20. While Dr. Reddy's lost 2.29% to $17.96, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank ended with marginal losses at $40.71 and $18.55, respectively.
