US mkts end higher, Infosys drops 3%

US indices clocked smart gains as oil prices slided on the New York Mercantile Exchange. While Dow Jones advanced 56 points to 10,816, the Nasdaq moved up six points to close at 2,157.

Indian ADRs displayed a mixed outing yesterday. While Infosys and Satyam dropped 3% each to $68 and $24 respectively, Wipro closed up a per cent at $25.

HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank ended with marginal gains at $42.26 and $19.63, while Dr. Reddy's and VSNL finished offgains at $19.52 and $10.50, respectively.
