US mkts end mixed

In a choppy trading session yesterday, the US indices ended on a mixed note after rallying for two successive sessions. While the Dow Jones lost 31 points to close at 10,467, the Nasdaq was up a point at 2,047.

Indian ADRs largely ended with modest gains. Wipro added 1.61% to $21.45, and Satyam was marginally up at $23.30. Infosys, however, closed down a tad at $62.71.

HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Dr. Reddy's were up a per cent each at $41.72, $18.65 and $17.25, respectively. VSNL, however, ended marginally weak at $9.24.
