US mkts end mixed, HDFC Bank drops 4%

US markets ended on a mixed note, reversing its three-day long losing streak since the start of the new year. While Dow Jones moved up 25 points to close at 10,623, the Nasdaq ended down a point at 2,090.

Indian floats, too, exhibited mixed trends yesterday. While Wipro and Satyam ended with marginal gains at $21.95 and $22.41 respectively, Infosys was down 1.14% at $66.05.

HDFC Bank dropped 4.32% to $39.46, and Dr. Reddy's lost 2.25% to $18.21. VSNL was down a per cent at $10.18. ICICI Bank, however, added 1.14% to $18.56.
