US mkts end mixed, MTNL jumps 4%

US markets ended mixed yesterday as fluctuating oil prices continue to keep the investors on the edge. While the Dow Jones added 21 points to 10,833, the Nasdaq lost nine points to close at 2,058.

Indian floats ended with impressive gains. Wipro and Infosys gained 2% each to $76.41 and $21.75, respectively. Satyam was up 1.19% at $23.83.

MTNL rose 4.15% to $7, and Tata Motors scaled up 2% to $10.88. While HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and VSNL ended with marginal gains, Dr. Reddy's finished a tad lower at $17.34.
