US mkts end steady

The US indices posted modest to steady gains on Tuesday. While the Dow Jones advanced 46 points to 10,837, the Nasdaq was up six points at 2,089.

Indian ADRs fared well, barring few counters which ended with marginal losses. Infosys moved up 2.38% to $74.54. While Wipro jumped 2.64% to $23.71, Satyam slipped a per cent to $25.42.

HDFC Bank gained 1.77% to $46.10, and Dr. Reddy's finished a tad higher at $17.72. While ICICI Bank closed unchanged at $22, VSNL ended weak at $10.12.
