US mkts end steady, tech ADRs slip

US indices ended the week on an yet another sound performance, as investors looked ahead to next week's economic reports. While the Dow Jones gained a mere five points to close at 10,543, the Nasdaq, too, finished with tepid gains at 2,076 - up four points.

Indian ADRs finished on a mixed note yesterday. Infosys dropped 2.27% to $70.50, and Wipro tumbled 2.33% to $21. Satyam, however, was up a per cent at $24.40.

Tata Motors, VSNL and MTNL were down a per cent each at $10.11, $9.72 and $6.30, respectively. HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Dr. Reddy's, however, ended with steady gains at $42.15, $19.57 and $16.29, respectively.
