US markets snapped Wednesday's strong gains, as rising crude oil prices and the March jobs report to be presented on Friday played on the sentiment. While the Dow Jones dropped 37 points to 10,504, the Nasdaq ended six points lower at 1,999.

Indian ADRs, however, bucked the downtrend by clocking decent gains yesterday. Satyam jumped 3.23% to $23.36. Infosys and Wipro were up a per cent each at $73.73 and $20.41, respectively.

ICICI Bank spurted nearly 6% to $20.72, while VSNL moved up nearly 4% to close at $8.42. Tata Motors advanced 3.18% to $9.70, and MTNL gained a per cent to $6.34. Dr. Reddy's, however, was the sole loser and ended a per cent lower at $17.14.
