The Wall Street closed mixed Friday after playing out a now familiar scenario: Upbeat sentiment about falling oil prices flagged amid ongoing concerns about weak credit markets and the economy.

The major indexes also turned in a mixed performance after another volatile week. The US economy began weakening before others and now that investors are seeing poor economic data from Europe and Asia, some think the United States is closer to a recovery than others.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 44 points at 11,660 and the Nasdaq lost one point to 2452.

Indian ADRs ended on a mixed note.

Genpact gained 1.7%. HDFC Bank advanced 0.8%. Dr Reddy's was up 0.6%. Infosys and Tata Motors  advanced marginally at 0.3%.

Patni Computer Systems declined 3%. Sterilite Industries lost 2%. MTNL was down 1.9%. Satyam Computers dropped 1.3% and ICICI Bank lost 1%. Wipro was down 0.5% and Tata Communications remained unchanged.
