The Unit Trust of India board today rejected the Y M Malegam panel recommendation of roping in a strategic partner at the sponsor level. It is learnt that the board has also rejected the Tarapore panel suggestion to set up three separate AMCs, one each for the income funds, the equity funds and the flagship US-64.
The board discussed in detail the Tarapore panel report which had examined several investment decisions taken by the trust. UTI spokeperson Madhavkumar said,
