Uttam Galva Steels, a leading galvanised steel maker, today announced a hike in prices of its products by Rs 1,000-5,000 per tonne, Director (commercial) Ankit Miglani said today. |
The new prices will be effective soon. |
"The top of the range is for the six-month contracts, while the bottom end of Rs 1,000 is for monthly contracts," Miglani said. |
The price hike is mainly on account of rise in prices of hot-rolled steel, which has gone up by more than Rs 4,500 per tonne, Miglani said. Prices of zinc, another raw material used in making galvanized steel, have been flat over the past few months. |
