Shares of V-Mart Retail were up over 3% at Rs 510 after the company announced the opening of four new stores one each at West Bengal and Odisha and two in Bihar.
The company has opened its first store in West Bengal at Burdwan spread in an area of 9,049 sq.ft., while the one located at Bhadrak in Odisha is spread across an area of 10,500 sq. ft., the company said in a release.
In Bihar, the store at Hajipur is spread in an area of 7,727 sq. ft., and is the 21st store of the company in the state while the one at Sitamarhi is spread in an area of 10,350 sq. ft., and is the 22nd store of the company in the state, the release added.
The stock opened at Rs 491 and touched a high of Rs 531. At 1:40PM, over 4,500 shares were traded on both the stock exchanges.
