Videocon Ban Set Aside

The Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) has set aside the order passed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) last year, where it had barred Videocon Ltd from accessing the capital market for three years on charges of insider trading.

However, SAT has said that Sebi can go ahead with the criminal prosecution which it has launched against the directors and officials of Videocon.
