Volatility continues; Sensex down 125pts

The Sensex has staged a smart recovery from the day's low of 11,008. The index is now down 125 points at 11,231.

Maruti has rebounded into the positvie zone and rallied sharply by 2.7% to Rs 864.

Dr.Reddy's has gained 2.6% at Rs 1,462. Reliance has surged 2% to Rs 846. TCS and Wipro are up 1% each at Rs 1,800 and Rs 521.

Cipla is down 4.3% at Rs 657. Grasim and Larsen & Toubro have shed 3.5% each at Rs 2,100 and Rs 2,474, respectively.

NTPC has dropped 3% to Rs 132. BHEL, ACC, ICICI Bank and Reliance Energy are trading with losses of 2-3% each.

The market breadth continues to remain negative. Out of 2,457 stocks traded so far, 1,868 have declined, 542 have advanced and 47 are unchanged.
