Volatility continues; Sensex slips again

The Sensex rebounded into the positive zone and touched a high of 10,272, but only to slip back into red. The index is now down eight points at 10,236.

SBI has advanced 1.8% to Rs 868. Larsen & Toubro has rallied 1.5% to Rs 2,330.

NTPC, Reliance Energy and Hindalco have spurted over 1% each to Rs 133, Rs 621 and Rs 156, respectively.

ONGC has dropped 1.7% to Rs 1,177. Dr.Reddy's has slipped 1.4% to Rs 1,344.

The market breadth is slightly positive. Out of 1,653 stocks traded so far, 937 have advanced, 665 have declined and 51 are unchanged.
