The Sensex is now up 63 points at 10,805. Earlier in the day, the index opened with a positive gap of 134 points at 10,876, touched a high of 10,932, and soon tumbled into red to a low of 10,656 - down 276 points from the day's high.
Jaiprakash Associates has zoomed over 8% to Rs 115. Reliance Infrastructure has soared nearly 7% to Rs 661.
ICICI Bank has surged over 5.5% to Rs 398. DLF has rallied nearly 5% to Rs 222, and Tata Steel has gained over 4% at Rs 253.
Sterlite and Larsen & Toubro have moved up nearly 3% each to Rs 395 and Rs 830, respectively. SBI has added nearly 2.5% to Rs 1,151.
Grasim, Hindalco and Bharti Airtel are up nearly 2% each.
