Voltas up 5% on higher revnues

The stock soared to a high of Rs 146 and finally settled at Rs 144, up 5% from the previous close. The counter clocked volumes of 1.09 million shares as compared to the two-week daily average traded volumes of 891,854 shares on the BSE. The stock advanced 15% in this month.

Voltas has soared on the back of a surge in total income for the June quarter.

The stock opened at Rs 141, touched a low of Rs 138. The scrip is now at its highest level at Rs 143, up 4% from the previous close. The stock has soared 14% in a month. The counter has seen trades of 429,677 shares as compared to the two-week daily average traded volumes of 891,854 shares on the BSE so far.

The company reported a 5% dip in the net profit to Rs 80 crore for the June quarter as compared to Rs 84 crore in the previous quarter a year ago.

The total income however advanced by 18% to Rs 1,248 for the June quarter from Rs 1,058 crore in the previous quarter a year ago.
