Wall St ends down; ADRs slip

The Wall Street ended in negative territory on earnings worries. The Dow Industrial Average index slipped 59 points to 8,520. The Nasdaq shed 32 points at 1,532.

Indian ADRs, too, ended on a negative note. Sterlite slumped 6.6% to $5.64, and Dr.Reddy's tumbled nearly 6% to $9.68. Infosys, Genpact, Wipro, Patni Computers, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Tata Motors and Tata Communications dropped 2-4% each.

However, MTNL zoomed nearly 9% to $3.79, and Satyam rallied 5.5% to $8.26.
