Wall St ends up again; Indian ADRs gain

The Wall Street ended higher for the fourth day in a row on signs of economic stability. The Dow Jones industrial average index moved up 40 points to end above the 8,000-mark at 8,018. The Nasdaq added 19 points to 1,622.

Indian ADRs, too, ended with smart gains yet again. Satyam soared 10% to $1.98. Wipro zoomed nearly 6% to $8.45. HDFC Bank rallied 2.6% to $67.51. Infosys and ICICI Bank advanced around 1.5% each to $29.06 and $15.28, respectively. On the other hand, Patni Computers plunged nearly 7% to $5.59, and Sterlite dropped nearly 2% to $7.24.
