Wall St ends up on late rebound; Indian ADRs shine

The Wall Street witnessed a very volatile session last night. The main indexes were up in early trades, however, slipped in red on poor bond auction and weakness in technology stocks.

However, positive home sales and durable goods sales prompted a late rebound on the Wall Street. The Dow Jones industrial average index ended with a gain of 90 points at 7,750. The Nasdaq was up 12 points at 1,529.

Indian ADRs, too, with smart gains. Sterlite slumped 6.7% to $6.73. HDFC Bank soared 4.7% to $62.82, and Patni Computers rallied 4.2% to $5.43. Dr.Reddy's gained nearly 4% at $8.65. Infosys, Satyam and Tata Communications were up over 2% each at $26.85, $1.62 and $21.40, respectively.
