Wall St rallies; ADRs shine

The US stocks rallied on Wednesday backed by strong corporate earnings. The Dow Jones industrial average moved up 76 points to 13,212. The Nasdaq surged 26 points to 2558.

Indian ADRs ended on a firm note. HDFC Bank has rallied 2.5% to $74.27. Satyam and ICICI Bank advanced over 2% each to $25.09 and $41.19, respectively. Wipro, Patni Computers, MTNL, VSNL and Dr.Reddy's were the other major gainers.

While our markets were closed for the last two trading days, the US indices Dow has gained 106 points, while the Nasdaq has added just four points net in the interim.
