Wall St rallies; Indian ADRs mostly up

The Wall Street rallied smartly on Wednesday amid higher home sales data and better than expected factory data. The Dow Jones industrial average index gained 153 points at 7,762. The Nasdaq added 23 points to 1,552.

Indian ADRs, too, mostly ended with gains. Satyam, ICICI Bank and Tata Motors zoomed over 8% each to $1.70, $14.36 and $5.36, respectively. Patni Computers surged nearly 5% to $5.80. Wipro and HDFC Bank moved up around 2.5% each to $7.29 and $62.38, respectively.

On the other hand, Genpact and Tata Communications dropped around 3% each to $8.63 and $20.71, respectively. MTNL was down over 1% at $2.70.
