The Wall Street rallied smartly on Tuesday as the US government revived hopes of a bailout package. The Dow Industrial Average index surged 485 points to 10,851. The Nasdaq soared 99 points to 2,082.
The Indian ADRs, too, ended with sharp gains. Tata Communications zoomed over 19% to $21.13. Infosys soared 13.5% to $33.31, and HDFC Bank rallied 11.5% to $84.95. Satyam and Wipro surged over 9% each to $9.01 and $9.72, respectively. Sterlite, MTNL and Tata Motors were up 5-7% each.
