The Wall Street ended on a negative note on fresh credit worries after AIG reported a big loss. The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 225 points to 11,431. The Nasdaq slipped 23 points to 2,356.
The Indian ADRs ended on a mixed note. Sterlite surged over 3% to $14.62. Tata Communications rallied 2.7% to $22.17, and Dr.Reddy's advanced 2.3% to $14.32.
On the other hand, ICICI Bank plunged over 4% to $32.54. Wipro dropped 2.8% to $11.44. Infosys and Genpact shed 2.4% each at $40.89 and $14.21, respectively. HDFC Bank and Tata Motors slipped 1.7% each to $87.45 and $9.96, respectively.
