Wall St slips again, futures rise after close; ADRs mixed

The Wall Street slipped for the second straigth day on Tuesday amid fears of possible delay in the mega ($700 billion) bailout plan. However, futures pointed to a higher opening today following news that Warren Buffet has invested $5 billion in Goldman Sachs.

Yesterday, the Dow Industrial Average index dropped 162 points to 10,854, and the Nasdaq shed 26 points at 2,153.

The Indian ADRs ended on a mixed note. HDFC Bank soared 5.7% to $91.70, and MTNL surged 5.4% to $4.32. Patni Computers, Dr.Reddy's and Tata Communications gained 1-3% each.

On the other hand, Satyam slumped 6.4% to $17.61, and Infosys plunged 4.8% to $35.18. Wipro dropped 2.8% to $9.88, and Tata Motors was down 1.7% at $9.04.
