Wall St slips on Bhutto killing; ADRs drop

The Wall Street slipped yesterday amid fears of global unrest following the assassination of the former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. The Dow Jones industrial average slumped 192 points to 13,360. The Nasdaq plunged 48 points to 2677.

Indian ADRs tumbled across the board. Sterlite, Satyam, Wipro, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, VSNL and Tata Motors tumbled around 5-6% each to $24.78, $26.58, $15, $59.67, $127.38, $37.60 and $18.18, respectively. Genpact, Infosys, Patni Computers, MTNL and Dr.Reddy's also ended in red.
