Wall St slips on earnings worries; Indian ADRs decline

The Wall Street slipped for the second day in a row on the back of earnings worries. Alcoa after reported quarterly loss for the second consecutive quarter. Drop in crude oil prices and talks of GM bankruptcy also weighed on the market sentiment.

The Dow Jones industrial average shed 186 points (2.3%) at 7,790. The Nasdaq plunged 45 points (2.8%) to 1,562.

Indian ADRs ended in a sea of red. Satyam slumped 9% to $2.55. MTNL tumbled over 6% to $2.69. Wipro and HDFC Bank plunged around 3.5% each to $8.03 and $63.73, respectively. Sterlite, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors and Tata Communications were also down significatly.
