Wall St slips on late selling; ADRs slide

Late selling on the Wall Street trips indices. The Dow Jones industrial average shed 64 points to 12,050. The Nasdaq slipped 27 points to 2341.

Indian ADRs, however, ended with huge losses. Patni Computers plunged over 6% to $20.90. HDFC Bank slumped 5% to $61.14. Infosys, Satyam, Wipro, VSNL and Tata Motors declined around 3% each to $51.45, $20.72, $14.81, $15.55 and $17.20, respectively. ICICI Bank, however, moved up 1.4% to $37.85.
