Wall St slips on spike in oil; ADRs mixed

The US indices slipped on Wednesday as crude oil soared over $110-mark raising fears of further strains on corporate profits. The Dow Jones industrial average slipped 47 points to 12,110. The Nasdaq was down 12 points at 2,244.

Indian ADRs ended on a mixed note. Satyam slumped 9.4% to $21.57. ICICI Bank tumbled 5.4% to $43. Infosys, Wipro, HDFC Bank, MTNL and Tata Motors dropped 2-3% each to $35.33, $10.64, $101.89, $5.31 and $15.99, respectively. On the other hand, Genpact soared over 4% to $13.91, and Patni Computers gained 1.7% at $10.65.

US crude oil hit a record $110 a barrel yesterday.
