Wall St slumps; ADRs tumble

The Dow Jones industrial average slumped 243 points to 12,076. The Nasdaq plunged 52 points to 2351.

Indian ADRs tumbled across the board. Satyam tumbled 6.5% to $21.34, and ICICI Bank dropped 5.7% to $37.96. Infosys, Wipro, Patni Computers, HDFC Bank, MTNL, VSNL and Tata Motors declined 3-4% each to $52.11, $15.67, $21.47, $64.14, $6.04, $16.08 and $17.13, respectively.
