Wall Street indices end flat; ADRs gain

The US indices pared gains at close and ended marginally lower amid persistent sub-prime mortgage concern. The Dow Jones industrial and Nasdaq both were down three points each at 13,237 and 2542, respectively.

Indian ADRs ended mostly higher. Wipro soared 3% to $14.11, and Tata Motors rallied 2.4% to $17.16. Sterlite, Infosys, Satyam,  ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank advanced 1-2% each to $15.56, $49.50, $27, $43 and $84.72, respectively.

On the other hand, Genpact, Patni Computers, MTNL and VSNL slipped 1-2% each to $15.45, $20.58, $6.87 and $20.41, respectively.
