Washed Arabica drops Rs 200

Washed Arabica prices fell by Rs 200 owing to selective domestic roasters' demand at the Indian Coffee Trade Association (ICTA) auction on Thursday.

At today's auction of the 217 tonne offered for sale (last week 271 tonne) 63 tonne was sold (last week 138 tonne). Arabica comprised 162 tonne (last week 189 tonne), Robusta 55 tonne (last week 82 tonne).

Following are the prices quoted for grades in Rs/50kg. Arabica varieties: Arabica Parchment PB Rs 5,181 (quantity sold 6402 kg), Arabica Parchment AA Rs 5,232 (638 kg), Arabica Parchment A Rs 5,366 (12144 kg), Arabica Parchment B Rs 5,000 (710 kg), Arabica Parchment BBB Rs 3,770 (2980 kg), Arabica Cherry PB Rs 4,250 (2262 kg), Arabica Cherry AA Rs 3,500 (650 kg), Arabica Cherry C Rs 3,130 (1283 kg), Arabica Cherry BBB Rs 3,053 (2575 kg), Robusta Parchment BBB Rs 2,760 (568 kg), Robusta Cherry AA Rs 3,000 (3942 kg), Robusta Cherry AA Rs 2,950 (7520 kg), and Robusta Cherry BBB Rs 2,666 (2514 kg).
