Jaiprakash (JP) Associates has slumped over 8% to Rs 157.
TCS has plunged 5.6% to Rs 820. Satyam and Infosys have have tumbled around 5% each to Rs 454 and Rs 1,716, respectively.
Larsen & Toubro has shed 4.8% at Rs 2,410, and HDFC has dropped 4.6% to Rs 2,020.
Reliance Infrastructure has slipped 3.8% to Rs 823. Wipro and ICICI Bank have declined 3.2% each to Rs 417 and Rs 597, respectively.
Tata Steel and BHEL are down 3% each at Rs 677 and Rs 1,517, respectively.
Ambuja Cements is up 1.5% at Rs 80.
Out of 2,569 stocks traded, 1,484 have declined, 1,006 have advanced and 79 are unchanged.
