Weakness continues, Sensex down 329pts

The markets continue to drift deeper into red on the back of sustained selling pressure. The Sensex is now down 329 points at 14,764.

DLF has plunged over 6% to Rs 515, and Reliance Infrastructure has tumbled over 5% to Rs 1,012. Jaiprakash Associates has slumped 4.7% to Rs 178.

HDFC has dropped over 5% to Rs 2,289. SBI and ICICI Bank have slipped over 4% each to Rs 1,491 and Rs 681, respectively. HDFC Bank has declined over 3% to Rs 1,178.

Maruti has tumbled over 3% to Rs 648. Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 585 and Rs 427, respectively.

 

Larsen & Toubro has shed 3.7% at Rs 2,694, and BHEL have slipped 3.2% to Rs 1,730.

ONGC and NTPC have declined 2.3% each to Rs 1,060 and Rs 182, respectively. ITC has shed 2% at Rs 191.

On the other hand, Infosys has gained 2.5% at Rs 1,665, and Satyam has moved up 1.7% to Rs 413. Wipro is up over 1% at Rs 439.

Sterlite has rallied nearly 2% to Rs 625, and Tata Steel has added 1.5% to Rs 619.
