Most of the major food grains moved down, while maida spurted in the wholesale foodgrains market during the week under review.

Moong dal opened the week at its previous rate of Rs 9,400 declined by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 9,300 on Wednesday, later went down by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 9,200 today, netting a loss of Rs 200 per quintal.

Thoor dal moved down by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 6,950 on Saturday over its last week's rate of Rs 7,000.

Both urad dal and gram dal eased by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 7,500 and Rs 2,550 from their earlier week's rate of Rs 7,600 and Rs 2,650, respectively.

Sugar eased by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 2,750 from Rs 2,800 as did sooji (90 kgs) Rs.1,750 from Rs 1,800.

Maida (90 kgs) on Tuesday went up by Rs 50 to Rs 1,600 and further moved up to settle at Rs 1,650, netting a gain of Rs 100 over its previous week's level of Rs 1,550.
