Welspun India promoters hike stake to 59.56%

The shares were acquired by Krishiraj Trading Ltd, a constituent of Welspun Promoter Group

Welspun India promoters have increased their stake in the company by 11.50% to 59.56% through acquisition of shares worth Rs 55.30 crore from the open market.

The company, in a stock exchange filing, said promoters have bought 1.02 crore shares from the BSE on July 16 taking the total count to 5.3 crore shares.

The shares were acquired by Krishiraj Trading Ltd, a constituent of Welspun Promoter Group, it said.

Welspun India manufactures home textile products in bed and bath segments such as bed linen, basic bedding, decorative bedding, terry towels, rugs and yarn.

Shares of the company today settled at Rs 53 apiece, up 0.57% at the BSE over their previous closing.
