Wheat dara marginally lower on reduced offtake

In restricted activity, wheat dara traded a shade lower by Rs 5 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today on reduced offtake by flour mills.

In addition, adequate stocks position also kept pressure on the wheat dara prices. Elsewhere, prices moved in a tight range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.

Traders said reduced offtake by flour mills against adequate stocks position, kept pressure on the wheat dara prices. Wheat dara (for mills) shed Rs 5 to Rs 1,220-1,225 per quintal.

Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by the same margin at Rs 1,225-1,230 per 90 kg.
